Explore Mindfulness with Applied Behavior Analysis

ABA Therapy

All interventions begin with a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA). This will help us understand maladaptive behaviors and why they happen. Evidenced-based assessment tools are used to identify skill strengths and areas of need.

In collaboration with parents and caregivers, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) design a holistic Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) to reduce behavior challenges, and teach your child functional skills in different learning areas. We integrate mindfulness in ABA therapy by developing your child's coping skills, communication skills, socialization and other socio-emotional skills.

BCBAs lead behavior therapists in implementing intervention plans, continuously monitoring treatment and making modifications depending on progress. We take time to get to know your child and your family dynamics/values. We want therapy to be a positive experience, so our team will match our teaching style to your child's learning style. We take into consideration their likes and dislikes, as well as avoid aversive intervention methods and coercion.

Parent participation is key in the success of ABA therapy. We want to give you the tools to address your child's behaviors by teaching you ABA concepts and behavior intervention strategies. Our clinical team will be supporting you all the way!

Health Coaching

Parent Coaching

Research has shown that ABA parent training can lead to a happier interaction and positive communication between parent and child. This can lead to parents feeling less stressed and the overall family wellbeing can be improved (Koegel, et. al., 1996).

You will receive guidance and support from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who will offer research based methods to manage behaviors and assist with developing healthy habits for your family.

Additionally, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is offered to parents who need help in managing the (physical, psychological, emotional) challenges that come with being a parent.

Each family has different dynamics and values. That's why we will work closely with each other to target goals that are meaningful to you. You as a parent, knows what is truly best for your child.

Self-Determination

The Self-Determination Program is offered through Regional Centers which grants funding to individuals with special needs of any age. SDP provides individuals and their families with more freedom, control, and responsibility in choosing services and supports to help them meet objectives in their Individual Program Plan.

Through this, we can provide you and/or your family with the behavior support you need such as developing adaptive skills and improving emotional regulation. We also offer Acceptance and Commitment Training, Yoga and Mindfulness. You'll be working with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to customize programs FOR YOU.
